Your Life With No Restrictions
It is a known fact that many of us are held back by restrictions in our lives. “Stick to what you know”, and “Don’t work too hard, you’ll exhaust yourself” are just a few examples of the restrictions that even people that are closest to you will put on you, including your family, friends and partners. In this blog, I will teach you a few things I’ve learned about ignoring these ‘tips’ and how to start doing what you want, when you want to, with no restrictions.
Your Mind
Your mind, your biggest asset, but also known as the biggest restriction you have. Not because you don’t have the knowledge, but because you tell yourself you don’t. When we come across an opportunity that takes us out of our comfort zone or a task that is difficult, we usually talk ourselves out of it. If Elon Musk talked himself out of starting all of his companies right at the beginning when he was in a tiny office, sleeping on the floor and working throughout the night, would he have the success he has today? Nope.
Life is about trying new things, even if 9 out of 10 times they flop, you tried it. And when that 1 comes through, that is when you start to reap the rewards of your hard work. I know plenty of people that came across a difficult step and still pushed themselves to go through it, and are now people I really look up to.
Every time I see an opportunity that is hard, intimidating or scary, I will always go through with it and put my all into it, because I don’t want to be the person I was yesterday. Every new thing that people have done has prevailed over status quo, so what makes you think that your new adventure in life is not going to be the best thing that ever happened to you?
Surround Yourself With Like Minded People.
If the people you hang around with and associate with say things like I mentioned before, and putting restrictions on you, then ignore them and start to associate with people that have the same hunger and passion as you do, because then you will never lose the passion and excitement of progression and learning.
Always stick with those people, through thick and thin, stay with them. But find someone much, much smarter than you as well, a mentor. Someone who can teach you everything you want to know. Follow them, absorb their knowledge and add it to the incredible thing that is your mind.
The aim of this post is to make you think about the position you are in and what position you WANT to be in. Follow everything I’ve said and change your own world. If you play by the rules you accept other people’s rules and boundaries, but when you see that you really are the boss of your own mind and life, you’ll decide the game you play, and the outcome.
Will it be yours or someone else’s?
