Sales Director
As Senior Business Development Manager you will sit within the Sales department to assist with the company’s growth and focus on generating new business leads for the organisation by liaising with our Sales and Marketing teams and building a strong pipeline of prospects.
Duties and responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within our core digital marketing service offering.
- Present our joined-up value proposition and service offerings to potential clients, emphasising our unique expertise, track record, and the impact we can have on their business, whilst demonstrating a deep understanding of their needs and challenges.
- Collaborate seamlessly with delivery teams to resource and transition opportunities effectively for pitching and progression to closure.
- Meet monthly sales targets and KPIs, providing regular reports on sales activities, pipeline status, and revenue forecasts to the Sales Director.
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with key client stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Work with the Sales and Marketing team to align business development strategies with company goals.
- Conduct market and client research/analysis to identify ideal prospect clients and understand their challenges and opportunities.
- Represent Embryo at industry/networking events to enhance our presence within relevant sectors.
- Monitor industry trends, analyse competitor activities, and identify potential target markets.
- Follow the company outreach process as set out by the CIO and Sales Director; 4 touch points to be sent including our own digital marketing materials and whitepapers.
- Book introduction meetings – Identifying relevant prospects and arranging meetings to be attended primarily by the Sales Director
- Promote our services through your own LinkedIn channels by posting regular content such as;
- Competitor report request
- SEO Guide
- Sector analysis reports
- General digital marketing posts
- As Senior Business Development Manager, you are required to achieve specific KPIs which will be agreed with you each month;
- Booking meetings (5 per month minimum)
- E-mails
- Calls
- Books
- Scrolls
- Face Cards
- Liaise with the Brand team to utilise tools such as Lead Forensics, HubSpot, Cognism etc. Setting tasks for the team to post out by hand and following up with calls after prospects have received the marketing material.
Skills
- Communication – You should have excellent communication skills and telephone manner to be able to speak with clients and potential prospects.
- Motivation – You should be extremely self-motivated in order to continuously be proactive in following up on leads.
- Spelling and grammar should be exceptional.
- Time management and punctuality – it is important to be able to manage your own workflow and be on time with deadlines as well as working hours.
- Confidence – This role requires confidence in liaising with potential and current clients and being able to discuss the most suitable service package for them.
- Relationship building – You should be skilled in quickly building rapport with clients to maintain a professional working relationship with them. This will also be essential when working with your colleagues for support on strategy and pitches.
- Attitude – Being part of the sales team requires a positive can-do attitude at all times.
- Strong industry knowledge and experience – You will be accustomed to a fast-paced digital agency environment.
