LinkedIn’s “AI slop” flag cuts reach of flagged posts by 40%

How it works: In late July, LinkedIn added a “Seems like AI slop” option to the three-dot menu on posts. LinkedIn has now revealed that more than one million members used it in the first two weeks, and views of flagged content dropped by 40%.

What’s the benefit? LinkedIn is rewarding substance over polish. AI-assisted writing is still fine, but brands posting high-volume, generic content risk losing visibility. Posts with genuine insight, expertise & a clear human voice are more likely to perform in the feed.
