PPC Executive

This is a new and exciting opportunity for a passionate PPC Executive to join our fast-growing team based in Manchester.  We’re looking for someone who can support the Account Managers and develop their skills and ability to be able to manage their own portfolio of clients and be proactive and driven when running client campaigns with a wide variety of budgets.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Campaign management – supported campaign management including reporting and meeting/calling clients to discuss campaign progress.
  • Strategies – you will be responsible for creating unique and forward-thinking PPC strategies for clients in your portfolio.
  • Analysis – you will be responsible for providing insightful and data-driven analysis to benefit your clients
  • Delivery of work – you will be responsible for the delivery of PPC work for your clients.
  • Building relationships – we pride ourselves on our level of customer service and the way we work with our clients. Building good relationships with your clients is a key part of your role. You’ll need to have a deep understanding of the client’s business, brand, sector, competitors, and audiences.
  • Teamwork – you’ll need to be a team player and work with other areas of the business on multi-channel clients. We are a business that likes to help each other out, so showing willingness to help and support others is key. 
  • New and creative Ideas – bringing fresh ideas into the PPC team and ensuring that we remain at the forefront of the very latest PPC standards.
  • KPIs – you should be comfortable working closely with the client to ensure that client PPC KPIs and objectives are met throughout the campaign.
  • Contributions – play an active part in the growth of not only client campaigns but also the wider team and business at Embryo Digital.
  • Training – you will receive comprehensive training on improving your PPC knowledge to an advanced level, however, we expect you to be able to manage clients immediately.


  • Desirable experience – you should have at least 1 year of PPC experience and be comfortable with managing multiple client campaigns of different sizes.
  • Software – you should have experience in using Google ads, Microsoft advertising, Google Analytics, and Google Tag Manager at a minimum. For any other software or tools, training will be provided.
  • Communication – you should be comfortable and confident when engaging with clients and reporting to them over the phone and face to face. Thus, your telephone manner must be friendly and professional at all times. You should come across as confident and knowledgeable in PPC and the strategy you have set out for them. Your communication skills both written and verbal should be excellent.
  • Time management – we use an extremely efficient workflow management tool to assist in time management, but you should also be confident that your workload is manageable and appropriate deadlines are set and met.

 Compulsory experience in

  • Independent client management
  • Client-facing contact and communication
  • Delivering to set KPIs and targets.
  • A good foundation of data analysis
  • Strong experience in either E-commerce or Lead Generation

PPC Executive Progression

Senior PPC Account Manager

Incredibly skilled within all verticals of PPC management, including all networks and software supports for ongoing management. Ability to manage budgets that exceed £100,000 pm and work on the largest clients at Embryo.

End-to-end campaign management
Complete management of accounts, with the ability to deliver your own unique strategies and drive clients forward.

Client communication
Confidently handle all forms of communication with the ability to lead calls and meetings. Assist and mentor your team to improve their communication abilities.

Run training sessions for the department and wider team. You will be a professional line manager for PPC Assistants and Executive’s working closely with your team to line manage effectively.

Your ability to use Databox and Google Analytics will be strong. You will optimise feeds with advanced techniques and flesh out large scale strategies for top tier clients. Regularly deliver new business audits and proposals – including pitch meetings. You will successfully Implement tracking without support from the Analytics and Senior team

PPC Account Manager

Full comprehensive knowledge of both E-commerce & Lead generation PPC with the ability to lead and deliver on large clients with budgets exceeding £30,000 pm. You will confidently drive innovative strategies for clients.

Client communication
Confidently handle client communications with or without client services or senior team members present including kick-off calls and monthly report calls.

Run training sessions for the department and the wider team. Contribute to upskilling the department by acting as a support for the Junior team members, assisting them with any issues.

Skilled at using Databox and Google Analytics for reporting, delivering new business audits and proposals – including pitch meetings, ability to implement tracking with the support of the analytics team or senior team members.

Senior PPC Executive

We expect you to have a core understanding of both E-commerce and lead generation, with the ability to independently manage clients and retain a strong client base. We expect you to have a strong core ability within PPC and expanding into advanced techniques and abilities to grow your account management.

Campaign management
Ability to set up all campaign types from strategy creation to implementation and reporting. You will Independently manage clients with the exception of support with strategies and scaling clients. Client retention will be a priority whilst highlighting the value Embryo provides customers through effective management.

Client communication
Confidently handle client communications with client services or independently, with the ability to lead calls and deliver data-led insights to clients.

Undertaking PPC training sessions for advanced techniques within PPC, and supporting any training requirements for PPC Assistants to help facilitate learning the basics.

Ability to diagnose feed issues, conversion tracking issues, and confidently lead both Lead generation & Ecommerce clients. You will have a strong understanding of all of the tools and software Embryo uses, such as Shoptimised, Ads editor and Google Analytics.

PPC Executive

We expect a core understanding of either lead generation or Ecommerce with the ability to build and manage accounts to an acceptable level.

Campaign management
Ability to setup all campaign types from strategy creation to implementation and reporting. You will have campaign management support from senior team members to aid your growth and knowledge.

Client communication
Confidently handle client communications with client services or senior team members present, working towards independent calls with the client.

Undertaking regular PPC training sessions and applying this knowledge to future tasks. You will develop in areas you have not had much experience in within PPC.

Ability to complete the new client set up process, create campaigns and utilise ads editor effectively. You will successfully create and utilise reports within Databox, support Account Managers with workload and expand your knowledge with your assigned clients.
