Duties and responsibilities
- Digital PR knowledge – as a head of the department you should have extensive knowledge of the industry with the confidence to support and educate the wider team
- Leadership – you will be responsible for the direction and growth of the department, therefore motivating your team to deliver is key, as well as implementing new processes to effectively deliver for clients.
- Team progression – work closely with your team members to assist with their professional development by carrying out monthly appraisals.
- Campaign management – Although you may not spend all of your time on the end-to-end tools, you should be comfortable with full campaign management including reporting and meeting/calling clients to discuss campaign progress.
- Strategies – you will be responsible for creating unique and forward-thinking Digital PR strategies for clients in your portfolio, and meet the client’s defined KPI’s
- Authority building – collaborating with our SEO team, you’ll be working with them on authority-building strategies for clients across a range of industries. You’ll work to find stories within the sector, organise content creation and outreach to your contacts and gain placements with links back to clients’ websites.
- Teamwork – you’ll need to be a team player and work with other areas of the business on multi-channel clients. We are a business that likes to help each other out, so showing willingness to help and support others is key.
- Pitching – liaise with the sales team to assist with proposal documents and pitching to potential prospects for Digital PR.
- New and creative Ideas – bringing fresh ideas into the Digital PR team and ensuring that we remain at the forefront of the very latest Digital PR standards.
- KPIs – you should be comfortable working closely with clients to ensure that Digital PR KPIs and objectives are met.
- You will be accountable for the success and growth of the Digital PR department, overseeing the financials and making decisions to facilitate this growth.
- Analyse Digital PR client performance metrics and prepare monthly reports to track the effectiveness of campaigns and identify areas for improvement. Ensure that timelines, and resources effectively to ensure the successful execution of Digital PR Campaigns.
- Contributions – play an active part in the growth of not only client campaigns but also the wider team and business at Embryo.
Skills
- Experience – Desirable 4 years of Digital PR experience and being comfortable with managing multiple client campaigns of different sizes.
- Software – you should have experience in using GSuite, Google Analytics (GA4), Google Tag Manager and Buzzstream, Roxhill, Coveragebook (or similar) at a minimum. For any other software or tools, training will be provided.
- Communication – you should be comfortable engaging with clients and Digital PR contacts, reporting to them over the phone and face to face. Thus, your telephone manner must be friendly and professional at all times. You should come across as confident and knowledgeable in Digital PR and the strategy you have set out for them. Your communication skills both written and verbal should be excellent.
- Time management – we use an extremely efficient workflow management tool to assist in time management, you should have the ability to successfully manage your own diary and duties to ensure deadlines are set and met.
- Passion – you should be passionate about Digital PR and want to deliver the best results for your clients and the business.
- Relationship building – you should have excellent relationship-building skills, creating professional relationships with key contacts within the Digital PR industry will be key to being successful in this position.
