Which Personality Type Are You?

Throughout the year, our team at Embryo have seen substantial growth despite the 2020 global pandemic. Our hard work, teamwork, and togetherness has never been stronger across our departments (PPC, Social Media, Website, SEO and Content). A key part of this is due to the amazing people that we employ and trust to go above and beyond every day for our clients as well as our colleagues. What’s interesting, is that although we all value the motto of going ‘above and beyond’ and value customer service to the highest standards, we are all actually very different from each other.

Last year, I asked the team to take a personality quiz, that they each received their own results from, detailing their attributes and information surrounding how they dealt and reacted to different situations. The opportunity was then available for people to share their results with the team and discuss our results with each other. The results of which were extremely interesting and actually quite valuable for each other to understand and be aware of when working together, in order to bring the best out of each other. The tool could also add great value when implemented within your business recruitment process, in order to see if people’s values align with your company message.

Hi, I’m Cicely, Operations Manager and Defender, at your service!

On that note, let me introduce you to my personality type, I am a ‘Defender’. The defender falls under the ‘Sentinel’ category. Defenders are described as ‘dedicated, warm protectors and always ready to defend a loved one.’

Who is a defender?

A defender is someone with the Introverted, Observant, Feeling, and Judging personality traits. These people tend to be warm and unassuming in their own steady way. They’re efficient and responsible, giving careful attention to practical details in their daily lives.

I can happily admit that we are very much organised planners, who like to have around five back up plans rather than ‘going with the flow’ in life. I do find myself to be both an introvert and an extrovert however, and can be very reserved when needed in order to observe those around me. This is part of the reason why I think I am most suited to being an Operations Manager as it allows me to observe current processes in order to redefine them, and ensure the team works efficiently by bringing the best out of them.

What are my ‘defender’ strengths?

  • Reliable and patient
  • Imaginative and observant
  • Enthusiastic
  • Loyal and hard working
  • Good practical skills
