Learning The Importance of Content
What is SEO Content Writing?
Creating search engine optimised content is more complex than simply writing a blog or writing a certain amount of words. It requires writing content in a manner that it begins to rank for higher related keyword searches in Google. Including keywords in the title or blog post and then strategically using them in various places. With this being said, ideally the content not only needs to be search engine optimised, but it also requires optimising for humans too. I have given three examples of ways SEO can boost your website.
Strategic Keyword Usage
In order to strategically use keywords within content, you need to be able to identify words that will not only bring in high traffic but words that will also drive relevant traffic. Therefore you need to do keyword research to identify what works for you and what doesn’t. Areas to include keywords to boost traffic could consist of:
- Title Tags
- Text on the Page
- Meta Description
- Meta Tags
Quality Backlinking
Backlinks are essential for SEO, as they help to build your site and they also help towards gaining domain authority, which will in return have a positive effect on rankings. Backlinks are a link on another website, linking directly to your site. Not only do backlinks help rank websites higher, but they also the site different sources of traffic from different sites. Here are a few backlinking options:
- Online and Local Directories
- Blog Comments
- Guest Blogging
- Paid Linking
Trust Building
This last point, trust-building, doesn’t directly have an effect on SEO but it will help with your target audience. The more free value and education through the content you provide to your audience, the more you can build up trust over time. Through educating your audience and helping them overcome challenges, you start to build relationships, from these relationships, converting traffic to sales, will become much easier.
