Digital PR Lead
Salary banding: £28 – £30k
Working pattern: 2 days hybrid in the Manchester office
As Digital PR Executive, you will play a key role in driving award winning results across a portfolio of clients through considered digital PR activities and outreach.
You’ll be involved in and will collaborate with the team on all aspects of Digital PR, including campaign ideation, writing press releases, owning outreach and press office activity and reporting on PR results.
This role is hands-on, delivery-focussed and ideal for someone who thrives on making things happen. You will also have the chance to lead on some of our smaller accounts, with the support from senior team members.
Sitting within our wider Organic team, you will also work closely with other departments on creative content and SEO, with a focus on driving cross-channel strategies that support organic performance and visibility.
Role responsibilities:
- Work closely with PR Managers and Leads to support on campaign planning, outreach, and reporting.
- Support campaign strategy through research, ideation, and trend monitoring. Learn how campaign ideas are developed and contribute suggestions in brainstorms.
- Support the delivery of PR campaigns by preparing media lists, drafting outreach materials, and tracking coverage. Assist with campaign assets and reporting, ensuring tasks are completed on time and to spec.
- Stay up to date with media trends, news cycles, and viral moments to help shape more relevant, reactive campaigns.
- Attend training sessions, complete certifications where relevant, and work with senior team members to build your PR and Organic knowledge.
- Support performance tracking by monitoring coverage, backlinks, and brand mentions.
- Help gather results for campaign reports and assist in evaluating media impact.
- Communicate clearly with internal teams, contributing to campaign brainstorms and asset development. Take feedback positively and build confidence in written PR communication through press release drafting and media outreach support.
Skills and knowledge:
- 1+ years of PR, media, or communications experience. Some exposure to Organic marketing or content is beneficial but not required
- Demonstrates foundational PR knowledge including writing press releases, researching media targets, and understanding what makes a good story. Shows growing awareness of media trends and reactive opportunities.
- Eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced PR environment. Open to feedback, proactive in developing skills, and enthusiastic about understanding how PR supports Organic performance.
- Organised and detail-oriented in managing day-to-day tasks. Able to prioritise outreach, research, and reporting support, while staying on top of internal deadlines and requests.
- Builds strong internal relationships within the PR team and wider Organic department.
- Willingness to develop an understanding of how PR supports Organic growth through link building and brand visibility. Open to learning how PR campaigns contribute to traffic, rankings, and broader marketing goals.
- Familiar with Google Workspace, media list tools, and coverage tracking platforms. Open to learning journalist databases, outreach tools, and Organic reporting platforms such as GA4 and Search Console.
